A great few days away!

My partner and I stayed in “Amity” the perfect little cottage for a weekend away! The location was beautiful and only a stones throw away from the beach! The weather wasn’t perfect in a blustery October but that didn’t stop us from enjoying ourselves. We ventured down to the beach and walked to Woolacombe, we went to the local pubs, and even stopped off for some shooting at the north Devon shooting ground on our way to the manor! We were greeted by a lovely guy, Ben! He made sure we found our way to the cottage and helped settle us in perfectly. He also met us on our way back to the car- a great, lovely guy. The apartment was impeccably clean, and had EVERYTHING we needed. We even cooked 2/3 nights that we stayed there. Brilliant location, brilliant place to stay, brilliant family-run business!! - James King

The "Hideaway" Treehouse

Wow.....Wow....and just Wow !
What a jewel in the crown at Pickwell Manor.
Everything you require is provided at 5 * standard, and very tastefully done.
Standing out on the decking at night, counting stars whilst roasting chestnuts on the BBQ it was a fantastic way to spend our wedding anniversary, and get some 'us' time.
The Tree house is warm, cosy and relaxing, and watching the squirrel's and pheasants going about their lives at close proximity was lovely. - Gary E.

Amazing Pickwell

We have just returned from a long weekend at pickwell. We used to holiday there as children. We were not disappointed! We had a wonderful stay. We stayed in Bliss which was beautiful.
Our children absolutely loved the games room. There was so much to choose from.
The owners have done an amazing job in making Pickwell a truly remarkable place to stay.
We will definitely be back! - Barry

We will return

The Manor House has been completely renovated to a beautiful standard. We took our grandchildren 5 and 7 and they loved it. They were invited to join other children to feed the rabbits and hens. They returned with an egg each which we cooked for their breakfast!! The views are spectacular and the setting is safe, secure and very tranquil. We will return. - Gill

An amazing holiday

We found Pickwell Manor after a Google search. It looked amazing and we were not disappointed!! We were all tired when we arrived after a long, difficult journey, but we were met by Holly’s smiling, welcoming face and our lovely holiday started. I had contacted Holly during our journey to explain we were going to be much later than planned and she was more than accommodating, reminding me that there was chocolate cake and wine (locally made) waiting our arrival!
We stayed in Liberty, which was just perfect for us (my husband and I together with our two children, 7 & 9). Really clean, tidy, well equipped and homely. It had everything we needed, but there was also the useful things cupboard downstairs, which came in handy.
The tourist info in the room and in the entrance was great, as were the photos to direct us on the walk to the beach (perfect for evening s’mores on the beach).
Having the rabbits, chickens and pigs at Pickwell was brilliant. My girls loves seeing them each day and feeding them. The fact that George and Ham left for slaughter during our stay was a good thing (for us, not them). It brought up topics of conversation (how it all happens, what is humane, etc) which would probably not have otherwise been discussed just yet.
Our children loved the facilities; the games room, the treasure hunt, pirate island, croquet, tennis...
Having a surf store full of equipment to borrow was brilliant too, as there were wet suits for both our girls!
The laundry was well equipped too, along with it’s award winning view.
We all loved the cream tea and the drift wood key ring making.
Having all these things just included in the stay makes the whole thing very homely. Having Holly and Ben’s family around added to this feel.
It was a great location for our two week stay; good for both Putsborough and Croyde beaches.
We didn’t want to leave and would all love to return!!
