Pickwell Manor Holidays - Terms and Conditions

  1. Your booking at Pickwell Manor includes use of your nominated apartment(s) along with use of the, terrace, public gardens, parking areas, tennis court and games room. (please see map)

  2. Your apartments will be ready on the day of arrival by 5PM, departure time is by 9AM on your day of departure (with the exception of weekend breaks where departure time is by 6PM on Sunday )

  3. All Bookings are confirmed only when the deposit has been paid. Until payment of the deposit the booking is provisional. Pickwell Manor reserves the right to cancel your booking if payment conditions are not upheld.

  4. A 30% deposit is payable to secure the booking. The final balance is payable 6 weeks in advance of your stay.

  5. In the event of cancellation deposits are not returnable. Any cancellation within the last 2-6 weeks of the date of stay will incur 75% of the total costs. Any cancellation within 2 weeks of your stay will incur 100% of total costs.

  6. Any bookings made within 7 days of the arrival date will only be confirmed subject to Pickwell Manor finding appropriate staffing to changeover and set up the apartment.

  7. Cancellations must be sent in writing. Should we not be informed of your cancellation in writing, Pickwell Manor will look to recover any loss of income.

  8. The number of people in any apartment must at no time exceed the number stated that the property sleeps on our website (unless prior consent has been given). The apartment may not be sub-let.

  9. The cost of heating and electricity is included in the price for the apartment. All bed linen, a bath towel for each guest, hand towels and tea towels are provided but it is requested that you bring your own beach towels.

  10. The owners of Pickwell Manor reserve the right to enter the apartment at any reasonable time, and with reasonable prior notice if any urgent need were to arise (e.g. for health and safety reasons or urgent repair.

  11. Children at Pickwell Manor must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times. Whilst we encourage guests to enjoy the garden and woodlands, please note that care must be taken as walkways and stairs maybe slippery, particularly when wet.

  12. Please note the walled garden up the main steps to the rear of the Manor is private.

  13. The named person(s) booking the accommodation is responsible for the behaviour and actions of their guests while at Pickwell Manor. Guests may be asked to leave the premises if their behaviour is threatening, aggressive, anti-social, or damaging in any way to the other residents or to the premises. In this circumstance your full support is required.

  14. The named person(s) booking the accommodation will be held responsible for paying for any loss or damage to any part of the Manor premises, or to any fixtures, fittings and equipment which are caused by the any member of the group. We will not be held responsible for damage to any article brought onto the premises. Pickwell Manor shall not be liable for any loss or damage. In case of loss or damage to any member of the group, it must be reported and then recorded at the time in the incident book by a Pickwell Manor representative.

  15. Pickwell Manor shall not be responsible for the failure to provide facilities contracted for in the event of it being prevented from doing so as a result of “Force Majeure” or any other cause beyond its control. This includes industrial disputes, orders or regulations issued by Central Government, Riots, Floods, Fire or Epidemics. Pickwell Manor will not be responsible for any loss or damage or costs as a result.

  16. Smoking is not permitted anywhere within Pickwell Manor buildings and is only permitted on the designated area of the terrace (outside of the ‘Snug’) or outside the walled garden situated to the left of the path from the car park.

  17. A deposit swipe of a credit card may be taken as insurance against any damages. This will only be processed if Pickwell Manor needs to claim back costs against damages. This will be completed within 14 days of your stay.

  18. For fire regulations we need a list of all guests who will be residing at the Manor.

  19. It is the responsibility of the named person(s) to ensure that the apartments (and other areas used) are left in a reasonable state. If an exceptional level of cleaning is required after use of any of these facilities the cost will be charged to named person.

  20. We have a 7 day lost and found policy which means we can only keep an item found for that amount of time. It is the guests’ responsibility to check for all personal belongings before departure from the Manor. Any items found after guests have departed will have to be sent to the guest at their expense. Any items sent postage must be paid for in advance.

  21. Guests must respect that there are other residents at Pickwell Manor and noise will not be tolerated after 10.30PM.

  22. It is the responsibility of all guests to return any items removed from any apartment to its original place by the time of departure (this includes cutlery, crockery, utensils etc.)

  23. Guests must return all furniture within apartments to its original position by the time of departure.

  24. For the protection of guests, residents and neighbours there is a 15 mile hour speed limit in the grounds of Pickwell Manor.

  25. Pickwell Manor is committed to limiting the amount of waste that is generated through its business and guests are expected to recycle materials used whilst staying at Pickwell (a list is available in each apartment).

  26. Due to its impact on neighbours and farm animals fireworks cannot be set off in the grounds of Pickwell Manor.

  27. It is the responsibility of the group organiser to ensure that all guests are made aware of these terms and conditions.

PLEASE NOTE THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN PICKWELL MANOR ACCEPT BOOKINGS FROM HEN, STAG OR OTHER PRE-WEDDING HOLIDAYS.
